Since joining the Miss Maryland Organization as a candidate back in 2012 she’s always had a love for mentorship. After competing for 5 years making top 10 for 4 years, preliminary talent winner for 4 years and 2nd Runner-up to Miss Maryland 2015 Destiny Clark, she knew she wanted to stay involved in the growth of this beautiful organization. The goal is simple - improve every year, keep adding to outreach, creating opportunities and keep growing. Kendall continues to be extremely thankful to the Miss Maryland board for their continuous support.

When asked by Kendall to be apart of the Miss Montgomery County Organization, Desna happily agreed. Her pageant journey started as a teen with National American Miss where she won two state titles. After her journey ended with NAM, she started her journey with the Miss America Organization where she fell in love. She held three local titles. In 2018 she was 4th Runner-up to Miss Maryland 2018, Adrianna David. Afterwards, she joined the Miss Montgomery County Organization to help upcoming women succeed in the Miss America Organization.
